The AKASO IP1M 720P camera is another option that many people choose to go with, especially in a market flooded with mediocre cameras. Some of the best features that come with this camera include night vision, a 720P HD display, pan/tilt viewing options, and two-way audio –  just to name a few.

The AKASO IP1M 720P camera is a pretty solid option if you’re in the market for a new and affordable IP camera.

The biggest and most noticeable pro of this camera is the two-way audio functionality involved built-in microphone and speakers that allow the user to talk and listen to friends or family members through the app on their mobile device.

This device is also super easy to set up and comes with all the needed hardware to get going. The 720P HD camera is nice, but again, I tend to prefer cameras above 720P resolution just because you can make out more details in an image; for the most part, the 720P display should be fine for basic surveillance in general.

The night vision on this camera is also pretty great and displays a clear video feed in pitch-black darkness.

The biggest and most noticeable con of this camera is the difficulty of set-up on a 5G/2.4ghz router/modem, and by difficulty of setup, I mean that it’s almost impossible to setup at all. The process of activation through 5G is very arduous and difficult, and sometimes – or most of the time – blatantly doesn’t work.

To be completely frank, if you have one of these connections and are considering this camera, you’d probably do well to just avoid this product entirely. Additionally, the app that you must use in partnership with this camera is extremely limited in its functionality, and it’s sort of difficult to set-up and get working.

The app is called “163eye”, and there are also other random “360eye” ones that you must be careful to avoid, and this makes the process even more confusing for the average layman. Additionally, this camera also doesn’t have 1080P HD video output, which is obviously optimal.

I can’t stress the importance of having a higher resolution because it allows you to see more details, and it goes without saying that this is much better for surveillance systems that benefit from such a feature.

Overall, the AKASO IP1M 720P camera is really a decent camera for the price and what the user is able to get out of it. The features that this camera comes with are pretty standard for the industry, but it takes advantage of these features better than quite a few other cameras I’ve seen that are in this price range.

The great night vision, two-way audio functionality, HD camera quality, and ease of use is makes this camera a great choice. However, if you’re using 5G or a 2.4ghz connection, I would advise potentially looking into a different product because of the known functionality problems that this camera has with those types of connections.
